How it works

Draft a new contract, review one before you sign, or decode one you already have — in three steps

1
Draft it or upload it

Describe the contract you need and Initialed drafts it — or drop in a PDF or Word file you’ve been sent. NDAs, MSAs, leases, offers, vendor agreements.

2
Tell us your side

Are you the vendor or the customer? The employee or the employer? Analysis is tailored to protect your position.

3
Review, redline, and ask

Get risk-scored findings in about two minutes, accept suggested redlines in a click, and ask questions about any clause in plain English.

Quote, agree, sign

Quote, agree and sign, in one place

For small businesses that sell a service: draft the quote and the agreement together, send them to your client, and get both signatures without printing, scanning or a second tool.

  1. 1

    Draft the quote and agreement

Describe the job. Initialed AI drafts your quote, with the price and the deposit, and the terms under it, as one document you can edit.

  2. 2

    Send it for e-signature

Add your client (up to 3 people per document), set the signing order and add a note. They open it on initialed.ai, no account needed.

  3. 3

    Both sides sign

Your client can ask a question or request a change, then signs. Everyone on the document can download the signed PDF.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do I get for free?

Start with no sign-up: upload a contract to see your top high and medium risks and ask questions about them. To draft a contract, describe it in plain English, answer a few quick questions, and create a free account to see it. Sign in — still free — to save your work and keep going. Unlock a document’s full report, or export a draft, for one credit, or go Pro for full reviews every month.

Is my contract data secure?

Yes. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is scoped to your account, and your contracts are never used to train AI models. You can delete your documents at any time.

What file types can I upload?

PDF and Word (.docx) files. Scanned contracts work too, as long as the text is readable.

What kinds of contracts does it handle?

NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, employment offers, contractor agreements, leases, vendor contracts, and more. If it has clauses, we can review it.

Why not just use ChatGPT to review my contract?

A general chatbot is a good explainer but an unreliable reviewer: it only reads what you paste (missing cross-references and defined terms elsewhere), has no consistent checklist, and won’t tell you which side a clause favors. Initialed reads the whole document, runs the same checklist every time, scores each finding by severity from your side, and grounds findings in real law — and on the same contracts it catches meaningfully more risky clauses. See our accuracy page for the benchmark.

Do you use my contracts to train AI?

No — your contracts are never used to train AI models, neither ours nor our AI providers’. We don’t sell your data or the contents of your contracts, documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is scoped to your account — you can delete any document, or your whole account, at any time. To produce a review your document is processed by our AI providers (currently Google Gemini, plus TypeSafe AI’s Jev model, which reads only the end of the document to check signatures); we’re upfront that we don’t claim a zero-retention arrangement with them, and our Privacy Policy explains exactly how your data is handled.

How long does a review take?

Around two minutes for a typical contract. Longer documents can take a few minutes more.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Downgrade or cancel from your account in two clicks.
