Draft a contract from inside ChatGPT

Initialed connects to ChatGPT so you can ask for a contract in the conversation you are already having. Describe the agreement, answer a few questions in the chat, and Initialed builds a complete draft tailored to your situation and state.

The finished contract opens on initialed.ai, in an editor, with fill-in fields and Word export. ChatGPT gets the status and a link; the document itself stays in your Initialed account.

Status: Not in ChatGPT yet

The connector is built and running, and we are completing OpenAI’s requirements for apps. Until it can be found inside ChatGPT, you can draft and review on initialed.ai directly.

How drafting in ChatGPT works

  1. 1

    Ask for the contract

Say what you need in plain English — “an NDA for a freelance designer in Texas” — and ChatGPT hands the request to Initialed.

  2. 2

    Link your Initialed account

The first time, you sign in to Initialed and approve the connection on an Initialed screen. ChatGPT never sees your password.

  3. 3

    Answer a few questions

Initialed asks the questions a drafter would ask — parties, money, term, state — and ChatGPT relays them in the chat.

  4. 4

    Open the finished draft

You get a link to the complete contract on initialed.ai. Edit it, ask the document questions, and export it to Word.

What you get

A real document, not a chat reply

The draft is a structured contract in an editor, with fields to fill in and a clean Word export — not text to copy out of a conversation.

State-aware drafting

Initialed asks which state governs and researches state-specific rules for the document type before it drafts.

Stays in your account

Every draft lands in your Initialed documents, where you can come back to it, edit it with chat, or review a contract someone sent you.

Free to open

Drafts started from ChatGPT currently open in full — no watermark, blur or per-draft charge.

What ChatGPT sees, and what it doesn’t

ChatGPT sees what you type to it, the questions Initialed asks, and a short status or summary Initialed returns. The full contract stays in your Initialed account behind sign-in and opens through a link. Documents are processed by Initialed’s AI provider to produce a draft; see the Privacy Policy for how data is handled. Privacy Policy

Frequently asked

Is Initialed available in ChatGPT yet?

Not yet. The connector is built, and we are finishing OpenAI’s requirements for apps before it can be found inside ChatGPT. This page will change when it can. Until then you can draft and review contracts on initialed.ai.

Is this an official OpenAI product?

No. Initialed AI is an independent product. It connects to ChatGPT through OpenAI’s app framework. ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of OpenAI.

Can ChatGPT review a contract through Initialed?

Drafting comes first. Reviewing an uploaded contract from inside ChatGPT is planned for a later release. You can review contracts today on initialed.ai: upload a PDF or Word file and get risk-scored findings from your side of the deal.

What does it cost?

Drafts started from ChatGPT currently open in full with no paywall. Initialed’s regular pricing applies on the website; see the pricing section on the home page.

Why not just ask ChatGPT to write the contract?

For a simple one-off, a general chat may be enough. Initialed adds the intake a drafter would run for your document type and state, and delivers an editable contract with fill-in fields and Word export in your account. Our guides cover where a general chatbot falls short on contracts.

Is this legal advice?

No. Initialed is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Contracts are drafted by AI from your answers, so read them carefully before you sign.
