For individuals and small businesses

Turn any document into a reusable template

Open a contract you’ve used before. Initialed AI finds the names, dates and amounts that change from deal to deal, turns each into a field, and keeps the values already there. Next time, fill the fields in the left pane and you’re done.

AI finds the fields Existing values kept Reuse it for every deal

Document → fields → template → next document

  1. 1

    Open a document

Any contract in your account: one you uploaded for review, or one you drafted here. Then choose Make template.

  2. 2

    AI finds the fields

Names, dates, amounts, addresses, terms: every value that changes from one deal to the next becomes a field.

  3. 3

    Check and save

Rename a field, leave one out, or add one it missed. The values already in the document are kept as the first answers.

  4. 4

    Fill in and reuse

Next time, choose Use template. Fill the fields in the left pane and the document fills itself in, every place each one is used.

What it costs

Making and saving templates is free. Each document you make from a template is a paid document, like a generated draft: one credit ($4.99) unlocks it to copy, download and send for e-signature. Paid plans include it.

A preview, not a giveaway

Until it’s unlocked, a document made from a template opens as a preview: key clauses are blurred, the page carries a watermark, and copying and downloading are off. A screenshot of a preview isn’t a usable contract. Filling in fields and editing stay free.

Questions

How do I turn a document into a template?
Open the document in Initialed AI and choose Make template. The AI marks the values that change from deal to deal (party names, dates, amounts, addresses and terms) as fields. You check them, name the template and save it.
Does it keep the values already in my document?
Yes. The value each field holds when you make the template is kept as its first answer, so the first document made from the template reads exactly like the original. The saved template itself keeps every field blank for the next use.
Where do I fill in the fields?
In the left pane of the editor. Each field is listed once, even if it appears in several places, and filling it in updates every place it is used. You can jump to each place from the pane.
Can I change the template later?
Yes. Edit any document made from the template and choose Update template: the template takes the new wording, with every field blank again. Documents you already made keep their own copy.

Why are some clauses blurred in the preview?
Until a document is unlocked, key clauses are blurred and the page carries a watermark, and copying and downloading are off. Filling in the fields and editing stay free, so you can see the document is right before you pay for it.
Can I find my templates and documents later?
Yes. Documents has a Templates tab with every template you saved, how many documents you made from each, and Use template. You can also filter your documents by kind (reviews, drafts, e-sign, templates) and by stage: in progress, waiting on you, done or failed.
